Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to these FAQs for Events at Parkside, designed to provide you with
quick answers to your pressing questions. Explore the information below to help
ease your planning process as you clarify the details for your upcoming event.

What is your capacity?

Events at Parkside can accommodate up to 158 with tables. The Madison Room rental can accommodate max 110 and the Brady Room can accommodate 48. We recommend 110 for comfortable full venue occupancy.

What does the rental fee include?

The full venue rental fee includes all tables and chairs for both the Maddison Room and Brady Room.

Do you have preferred caterers?

We have a list of preferred vendors that we have worked with and highly recommend. However, we do not require you to choose from that list, and can bring in any caterer you would like.

Is Events at Parkside handicap accessible?

Yes, we are handicap accessible. Every entrance is wheelchair accessible, as well as all the restrooms.

What are your payment and cancellations policies?

To secure your date, a non-refundable 25% deposit is due at booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event. Refunds or rescheduling options are outlined per your contract.

What is your alcohol policy?

Yes, you can bring in alcohol. With a 4-hour event rental, a bartender is not required. Minors under age twenty-one (21) are strictly prohibited from possessing and/or consuming alcoholic beverages in the rental space or anywhere on the premises. Over serving your guest is your responsibility. (Long term rental/weddings) have other responsibilities. There will be no sale without a proper permit.

Do you have restroom facilities?

We have clean, bright, and accessible bathroom facilities available for your guests’ use.

Who sets up tables and chairs the day of my event?

60” round tables (seats 6-8) and chairs are included with your reservation. We will set them up according to your seating plan.

Do you require event insurance?

We highly recommend to our clients to purchase day-of special event insurance. Host liquor liability to be included in that policy. Speak to your insurance agent – many times they have knowledge that will save you money vs. other “special event insurance” providers online.

Can I bring in my own decorations?

Yes! Just be sure to run your ideas by your coordinator or venue contact to make sure it is Events at Parkside approved. We do not allow paper or plastic confetti, or anything else that would litter the property. nothing may be attached to the walls, hooks and clips are provided in designated areas of the wall. Candles are permitted if they are enclosed inside of a lantern, jar, or glass votive. Open pillar candles must be battery operated.

What overnight accommodations are available?

Events at Parkside is conveniently located about 5-10 minutes from the nearest hotels. Kent State University Hotel in Kent and Holiday Inn & Suites in Brimfield (along with multiple others within half a mile of each other) are popular options.

When can I have my rehearsal?

We offer the ability to purchase the day(s) before or after at a reduced rate for your convenience.

Do you provide a day-of event coordinator?

Events at Parkside offers the option for a day-of event coordinator for an additional cost. We do highly recommend that you hire a coordinator to make your day as seamless and memorable as possible.

Do you have an ice maker?

We do not have an ice maker. We have 2 bar refrigerators and 1 regular household size refrigerator.
